We were over the moon when we won a pitch to design and build this high profile joint UK and US website. Our strategy was to create a community-based book site that would deliver definitive information on Sir Terry Pratchett and his work. We were also commissioned to create a bespoke Facebook app that would specifically publicize the latest Discworld novel - Raising Steam - whilst attracting new followers to the page.
Featuring full CMS control, social network integration, interactive timelines, forums, audio and video feeds, the site puts Sir Terry’s world at your fingertips. It also features geo location, which enables UK or US content to show up accordingly. The Raising Steam Facebook app is effectively powered by the community: the machine releases content based upon user likes, shares and comments.When sufficient pressure has been built up in the jars, the machine dispenses a platform ticket with details of the latest download.
The site is constantly evolving with new content and features, maintaining a dynamic dialogue with a thriving and international online community.
